AsslamuAlaikum,

The Islamic Center of Pittsburgh follows the Fiqh Council of North America for rulings on the start of Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr. As such, we are announcing Eid al-Fitr to be on Monday, July 28th, 2014. We have evaluated the weather conditions and decided to hold Eid prayer at Schenley Oval.  We will begin at 8:00am inshaAllah.  The Eid khutbah will be given by Sheikh Atef Mahgoub.  . 

Please note we will have a professional photographer and former ICP community member, Abeer Saeed, helping us to commemorate Eid al Fitr with pictures of the day's festivities, as well as individual pictures upon request (available for a small fee). Entertainment for children is as follows:

  • Balloon artist (9am-11am)
  • Giant Slide (9am-11am)
  • 2 ponies (10am-12pm)
  • Caricature Artist (10am-11am)
  • Face Painter (9am-10am)
