Humanity Day Award Ceremony, is the Islamic Center of Pittsburgh's (ICP) premier Outreach event.

Held annually, usually during the sacred month of Ramadan, it’s a time when ICP invites friends and neighbors of all faiths to share our Ramadan tradition while celebrating and honoring members of the Pittsburgh community who are helping to cultivate compassion and respect in their chosen altruistic professions.

Our keynote speaker this year was Imam Hakeem Dickenson, Current Imam at MCCGP Mosque. After entering into the fold of Islam, and the servitude of "The Wise" (he became Abdul Hakeem Dickenson), he began his quest of knowledge and entered into a full-time Alim program at Jaamiatul Uloom Al Islamiyah Al Inamiyah in Ajax, Canada and later at Darul Uloom New York in Queens NY. He also studied at the Institute of Islamic Education (IIE) in Elgin, IL that culminated in obtaining his Ijaza and Sanad (certification and degree) in Hadith and Islamic Sciences. As he pursued knowledge, he served as an Imam, Khateeb and Teacher at various Masajid in NY, NJ, KY and IL.
