To Whom it may concern:

On behalf of the Muslim Community of Pittsburgh, we would like to thank you for educating our children that attend your institution. In the Islamic tradition, the first teacher of our human family was God himself, making clear for all time the genuine honor that comes with teaching even one word to a fellow human.

Eid Al-Adha (The Celebration of the Sacrifice) is celebrated annually on the tenth day of the twelfth month in the Islamic Calendar, and is one of the two major religious holidays celebrated by Muslims worldwide. It commemorates Prophet Ibrahim’s (Abraham’s) total submission to the command of God with his willingness to sacrifice his son Ismail (Ishmael). The Muslim Community in Pittsburgh is celebrating Eid Al-Adha this year on Friday, September 1st. We ask you to please excuse ___________________________ who is a member of our congregation and currently in ______ Grade in order for him/her to take part in the prayers and festivities associated with this religious holiday.

We thank you for your consideration and understanding in this matter. If you have any questions or need additional information, please contact us at (412) 682-5555 or via email at office@icp-pgh.org.

Sincerely,

Wasiullah Mohamed
